Ad Item Priority Explained

Ad Item Priority determines the order in which ads are displayed on your website or app. It assigns a priority level to each ad item, ensuring that ads with higher priority are shown more frequently than those with lower priority.

This helps ensure that ads that are more relevant or considered more important are displayed more prominently.

How Many Ad Item Priorities Does Sevio AdManager Offer?

You can assign one of six priorities to your ad items. Each priority is given a numerical value between 1 and 6, where 1 is the highest priority and 6 is the lowest.

The priorities on AdManager, listed from most important to least important along with their numerical values, are as follows:

1. Sponsorship

This is the top priority setting, with a numerical value of 1. This higher priority increases the chances of user visibility, potentially boosting the ad's effectiveness. If you want your advertisers' ad to dominate a page or your entire site and be seen by users more often, use this option. It is generally used for direct sales campaigns.

2. Standard

This is the default priority, with a numerical value of 2. Choose this for regular ad display without any special emphasis. It's a good choice for campaigns that don't need specific prioritization. Your advertisers' ads will appear at a standard frequency, providing a universal option for various campaigns.

3. Network

This priority, with a numerical value of 3, is for ads from networks. It ensures that ads from ad networks are displayed more frequently, potentially improving their overall performance. This is particularly useful when you want to give preference to ads from ad networks.

4. Bulk

This is for ads with specific impression or click goals, with a numerical value of 4. Higher-priority goal ads will be shown more often than lower-priority ones. Use this setting to prioritize ads based on specific campaign objectives.

5. Price Priority

This setting, with a numerical value of 5, is for filling unsold inventory with the highest-paying ads. Ads willing to pay more for impressions or clicks are more likely to be seen, maximizing revenue potential for your site.

6. Unsold

This is the lowest priority, with a numerical value of 6. Use it to fill unsold inventory, whether with the highest-paying or lowest-paying items available. It's a practical option when you want to ensure that all your ad spaces are utilized, regardless of the payment priority.

Setting a Priority for an Ad Item

You can set a priority while creating a new ad item or while editing an existing one. To do that, first head to Advertisers > Select the advertiser > Campaigns > Select the campaign > Ad Items.

1. Set a Priority for a New Ad Item

  1. In the Ad Item tab, click on the Add Ad Item button.
  2. Set the General Details of your ad item.
  3. In Step 2, Schedule & Pricing, you can select the desired priority for your ad item from the dropdown menu.

2. Set Another Priority for an Existing Ad Item

  1. From the Ad Item tab, press the Settings button next to the ad item you want to modify.
  2. Go to the Schedule & Pricing tab and select another Priority for your ad item.
  3. Save the ad item.

Once you've finished and saved the new or existing ad item and selected the best priority, the ad item for your chosen campaign will be successfully updated or added to your Ad Items menu beneath that advertiser.
