To add a new website to your inventory, go to the Inventories tab and click the Add Inventory button in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
In the new window, you just have to fill in the General Details of your Inventory.
Step 1: General Details
- Under the Type field, select Website.
- Fill in the domain name, such as sevio.com.
- Pick an Alias. This will help you recognize your inventory more easily.
- Select the categories of your Inventory.
Step 2: Ad Preferences
Ad Preferences help you customize your Ad Delivery, allowing you to set up custom parameters for each Inventory.
You can apply your account preferences, create custom preferences for each inventory, or set no filter and accept every type of ad from any advertiser.
1. Ad Categories
Ad Categories help decide what types of ads are allowed on your website. This allows you to block specific ad categories, such as political or religious ads.
2. Seats
A Seat is a unique identifier given to an RTB. This filter allows you to block specific RTBs altogether, based on their identifier.
3. Advertiser Domains
Unlike Seats, Advertiser Domains allow you to block a specific domain from displaying ads on your website.
4. Creative IDs
Creative IDs allow you to disallow specific ads
5. Unique Creatives
This feature prevents the same ad from being shown in multiple ad zones on the same page.
6. Unique Advertisers
This feature prevents the same advertiser's ad items from being displayed in various ad zones on the same page.
Please be aware that turning Unique Creatives and Unique Advertisers on may leave certain ad zones empty.
Step 3: Ads.txt
Authorized Digital Sellers, or ads.txt, is an initiative by the IAB Tech Lab that helps to ensure that your digital ad space is only sold by sellers you've approved.
By creating your own ads.txt file, you gain greater control over who can sell ads on your site, reducing the risk of counterfeit inventory being offered to advertisers.
On Sevio Ad Manager, using ads.txt is mandatory.
1. If you already have an ads.txt file
During the configuration of your ad inventory in Sevio Ad Manager, you'll be provided with a URL link to redirect your ads.txt page to or a piece of text to add directly to your ads.txt file. Paste this new information and click "Verify" in Sevio Ad Manager to confirm.
2. If you don't have an ads.txt file yet
Download the ads.txt file generated by Sevio Ad Manager, upload it to your website's root directory, and ensure it's accessible via your website's URL followed by "/ads.txt."
After verification, click "Verify" in Sevio Ad Manager to activate your ad inventory.
